I feel strong in my body and mind.
The Hit has made a difference in my cardio for sure. I feel strong in my body and mind. I encourage all women to push themselves in all parts of their lives. The Hit is such a positive place to be! I love it! Kick and punch hard everyday!

This is the first gym I feel as though my goals matter and as soon as I leave I’m already looking forward to my next HIT!
After losing 60 pounds four years ago I have increasingly become bored with “big box gyms”, began gaining weight back and desperately needed a change. When I saw an advertisement for Halifax Hit I knew that’s what I needed and was there the first day they opened. Like a lot of women, I don’t want to hit actual people but there’s nothing better than punching or kicking a bag to release stress and to feel empowered! I love Steffi and Phil, they are always there for support, encouragement and to help with my technique. With their support I have stop obsessing over the number on the scale and am focused on shedding inches and getting stronger. This is the first gym I feel as though my goals matter and as soon as I leave I’m already looking forward to my next HIT!

In just over one month I can already see some toning and tightening going on, my cardio and endurance have increased
A friend of mine told me about a new “circuit training” type gym that opened downtown Halifax – 30 Minute Hit. Since the George Street location of Curves closed, our only option for working out at lunch was Good Life at Scotia Square, but I just found it incredibly crowded and just painfully boring. So I went in for my trial session at Halifax Hit and from that moment, I was hooked! In just over one month I can already see some toning and tightening going on, my cardio and endurance have increased, and I just LOVE the workout so much, I’ve only missed one session since joining! Steffi and Phil are so supportive and encouraging, always there to give constructive feedback and help push ourselves further. I love to see the other members working just as hard, makes you feel a part of a very cool team! Of all the gyms I’ve been a member of and all of the different types of workouts I tried before, 30 Minute Hit is absolutely the best!

At 45, going to the gym for me isn't necessarily all about the way I want to just look anymore. It is about keeping this body active and healthy as long as possible.
With a New Year here it made me reflect back on 2011. I am really amazed by how far I have come. I work at an Elementary School with kids who have Special Needs. Exactly a year ago I injured myself helping a child who had fallen down. I ended up with pulled Spinal Cord Ligaments. I had never been in that kind of pain in my life. Much of the 7 weeks I was off work, were spent in Physiotherapy, or flat out on my back, continuously medicated. Being so inactive had caused me to put on plenty of weight. At the time my Physio told me "You are really going to have to get serious about strengthening your core muscles if you are going to need to do your job until retirement". It took me until Spring of last year until I was even able to think about going to a gym. I did a bit of shopping around looking at different gyms. I needed to be serious about getting strong, not sitting around a circle socializing. I could do that after the work out, not during!! When I walked through the doors of South Surrey hit I met Iris. I had on gym clothes and she said "Lets try it out now if you have time". I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a huge lover of physical activity. But as soon as my first session was over I knew this would be my gym. I was nervous about re injuring myself, but her and the rest of the staff were aware of my situation and always asked, "how are you doing?" They showed me ways in the beginning of modifying my work out until I became stronger in the back and neck area. What South Surrey Hit does for me is awesome. It is fast paced, intense, and motivating. The trainers are why I really come. You cannot hide from them. If you are slacking off they will find you!! Personally that is what I need! You are there and done before you know it. And can you honestly get bored when you are moving and switching things up so quickly? Each trainer has different ideas to try out, to keep things interesting. I love the Facebook page as well. Sometimes I feel like Laura is talking right through the computer to me! One of my favourite quotes of hers is "Don't over think it. Just grab your gloves and get in here". That is so true. If you think too much you can come up with a million reasons why not to. At 45, going to the gym for me isn't necessarily all about the way I want to just look anymore. It is about keeping this body active and healthy as long as possible. I have friends my age that are now finding out they have diabetes and blood pressure problems. Medications for this and that. I don't want to go there. I firmly believe what we do to ourselves when we are younger will determine the quality of life we will have when we are older. Thanks so much Laura, Yossi, Cindy and Iris for making me member of the month. I gratefully appreciate that. But really you have given me so much more!

Considering I don’t have an athletic bone in my body I cannot believe how addicted I have become to the 30 minute hit!
Considering I don’t have an athletic bone in my body I cannot believe how addicted I have become to the 30 minute hit! I started back in October and was pretty much instantly hooked. I love that I can get such an amazing workout (where I’m actually sweating!) in 30 minutes. I’ve been coming in almost every day and can honestly say it never gets boring, there is always something new for me to try. The trainers are awesome, they know how to keep me motivated and are always pushing me to try new things – even on the days I just feel like slacking off I am so glad I finally took the plunge and decided to try it out after months of driving by the place, just wish I would have done it sooner!

Working out at this gym has made me mentally and physically stronger and has increased my self-esteem.
I’m very proud and excited to be member of the month. Not just because I get to rock a (free) 30 Minute Hit sweater or have my picture framed on the wall but because I’ve accomplished so much in just one year! I’ve always wanted to join a kickboxing class but was hesitant to spar with others or workout with the opposite sex. When I started at 30 Minute Hit I knew it was the gym for me. The environment was friendly and non-intimidating. It has been exactly one year since I’ve started at the Hit and I lost 16 pounds. I have not seen incredible results like this working out at other gyms or bootcamps. However, it truly was a journey! Not only do I exercise 3-4 times a week but I’ve made a change in my diet as well. I learned that no matter how much and how hard I exercise, I will not shed pounds unless I change my diet. I’m really happy to be a member of 30 Minute Hit. Working out at this gym has made me mentally and physically stronger and has increased my self-esteem. I’d like to express a very big thank you to Laura and Stacey for motivating me to push myself harder and reach that last 15 seconds. I’d also like to thank you both for showing me different exercises and correcting my form in order to obtain optimal results. A message to all the ladies working hard to pursue their goals, DO NOT GIVE UP!! You are almost there! Your pounds WILL shed with time. Yet, when you are at the gym, truly give it your 110%. Try not to think about what happened at work or all the things you have to do when you get home. This is YOUR 30 minutes that you owe to yourself! Also, really utilize the trainers to assist you in correcting your form or showing you new exercises. They are very knowledgeable and look AMAZING so they must know what they are doing!! I wish you all the best and I will see you at the HIT!!!

It feels good to be getting fit again-- and having fun doing it.
After a year of talking about trying 30-Minute Hit, I finally did and joined that same day. I hadn't found a way to get regular cardio exercise back into my routine once I had two children and the Hit has been the perfect solution for me! My six year old daughter is usually in school when I workout, but my three year old son is often my sidekick ( he likes to sing, "I work out!") I enjoy the fast pace of circuit training-- it keeps my mind interested and my body challenged. i really appreciate Shannah, Kelly and Candace for keeping me motivated and to keep me trying new things. But what I have also really enjoyed is chatting with other Hitters and getting to know some of you! I see a lot of regular and dedicated members-- also juggling their busy lives and kids-- and that keeps me motivated too. It feels good to be getting fit again-- and having fun doing it. Thanks everyone!

I now spend less time working out, and have seen greater results; losing almost all of the weight I gained and developing better tone and muscle definition then I had before.
Although I have always eaten healthy and led a very active lifestyle, when I hit my 30’s, I gained approximately 20 lbs for what seemed like no apparent reason. I tried about every crazy diet out there and was working out either in the gym or running 6-7 days a week, sometimes even 2 or 3 times a day, and absolutely nothing was working. I was frustrated and miserable, and could only attribute the gain as being a result of working shift work, my repetitive and stagnant workout routines, and the dreaded decline of my metabolism. I joined the 30 Minute Hit approximately 8 months ago looking for a change, and from the completion of my first circuit I was hooked! I have gained a renewed excitement for my workouts, and feel amazing when I leave the Hit after a circuit. I now spend less time working out, and have seen greater results; losing almost all of the weight I gained and developing better tone and muscle definition then I had before. I love the trainers at the Langley Hit, they are just the motivation I needed, and constantly push and challenge me to do more and work harder. I constantly rave about the 30 Minute Hit to all of my friends and would recommend it to anyone looking for a positive change in their life!
Jasmine ( Langley )
The circuit is always the same but the different people and the different challenges keep it interesting. So that is the addicting part. It doesn\'t get boring, so you keep coming back!
Kickboxing is great!! Who knew that left hooks could be "beautiful", or doing extra leg raises was "just for fun". Yet, the 30 minute hit IS fun! The enthusiasm and dedication of these guys is amazing and also addicting. They don't let you get away with rolling your eyes when they tell you "double time" and they seem to know when to give you a challenge and when to go easy on you. You never know what you're going to get when you go to work out. The circuit is always consistent but the different people and the different challenges keep it interesting. So that is the addicting part. It doesn't get boring, so you keep coming back! There is always someone on the floor keeping an eye on you and they are always happy to answer any questions you have, correct your technique so you don't hurt yourself or show you new stretches or whatever you need. Also whenever you walk in the door, there is always a big hello! Not intimidating at all. This is a good thing! The entire workout itself is 30 minutes so short and sweet, but they don't waste anytime making it count! "Burn is good!". The other great thing about kickboxing is that on those days when they have not gone the way they are supposed to, this helps you burn off the steam. You always feel better after the workout and it is 'safe' for people to talk to you again!!! All of this in 30 minutes! Not bad

I have struggled the duration of my life with being over weight and because of The Hit, I can finally have my outer beauty reflect the beauty I hold within. That is the greatest feeling I have ever felt.
To say The Hit feels like home would be an understatement; it's where I belong. I have planted my heart and soul into this gym and have developed such a passion for the sport. Thanks to The Hit for helping me grow and stay focused so I can achieve my goals. Also, thank you for recognizing my determination to succeed, I feel very honored to be January's member of the month. What a way to start a great year! Terri has a smile that glows and is incredibly down to earth. She ensures a non judgmental environment and soars with passion. She is always checking girls out on the floor and correcting technique, or giving a different variation of the station to increase skill level. You couldn't ask for a more amazing woman to welcome you to The Hit. From day one walking in to The Hit my life truly took off. I never knew how good I could feel until I walked through the doors and met Terri and her right hand woman; Audrey. I cannot even describe Audrey because her energy, ambition and dedication to her clients astounds me and leaves me with no words. The Hit is the only place in the world where I have been able to meet two incredible women that have made me feel like the finish line in obtainable. I have struggled the duration of my life with being over weight and because of The Hit, I can finally have my outer beauty reflect the beauty I hold within. That is the greatest feeling I have ever felt.

The best is when you have a bad day, you picture whoever or whatever has made you angry and take it our on Bob. You feel a million times better after.
This is my second round doing 30 minute Hit. I tried it 4 years ago at the Capilano gym and had to stop. When I heard one was opening up closer to home, I had to start up again. 30 minute Hit has to be the most motivating and fun workout I have ever done. Andrea and Natalie make sure you are working your hardest. I never get board, they always have a new move to teach me. I've gone to the gym for years, tried a running routine, but the motivation only last for a couple months. I can't get enough of the Hit! The best is when you have a bad day, you picture whoever or whatever has made you angry and take it our on Bob. You feel a million times better after. Thanks for being awesome!

I believe 30 Minute Hit is the Best workout I have ever done and I will continue to
Hi, my name is Laurie and after not being active for a very long time, I have now been a member at Chilliwack Hit for 2 months. After watching my sister Kelly get healthy and strong I decided to follow her lead. I can tell you it was the best decision I have made in a very long time. I feel so much healthier and it only takes 30 minutes out of my day! In just 2 months my clothes have become very loose and I have had to buy new things. I feel stronger and have so much more energy. I love going to hit and kick the bags, it is such a stress relief for me. I believe 30 Minute Hit is the Best workout I have ever done and I will continue to "HIT it HARD" for a very long time!
Laurie ( Chilliwack )
There is always a variation of a specific hit or kick to practise, so I can always go back to basics, practise my form, whatever on any given day.
I am not a Zen person, ask anyone. I'm angry and restless and I hate standing in one spot. Also, I have wanted to try kick-boxing ever since I saw Say Anything when I was 10. I hated going to the gym, I found it repetitive and I was often overwhelmed by exactly how to take my fitness plan to the next level.... And then I found the HIT. I love the HIT, it's different everyday. There is always a variation of a specific hit or kick to practise, so I can always go back to basics, practise my form, whatever on any given day. Christine, Connor and Kaitlyn all have their own approach, but are always willing to nudge or push you to hit harder, do one more 15 second interval of planking or push through the discomfort to really achieve the next level of your ability. I love that it only takes a half hour, and even on the days where I really didn't want to go, I'm glad I did by the time I leave.

Other than team sports, this is the first workout regime I have been able to commit to, stick with and ENJOY.
As soon as I walked into New West Hit for my free trial, I felt at home - Stacey immediately made me feel like a regular, and to this day, that team atmosphere at the Hit is one of the things I love best about it. After my 30 minute trial, I was totally hooked and signed up right away. Who knew you could get SUCH an intense workout in 30 minutes?!?! Other than team sports, this is the first workout regime I have been able to commit to, stick with and ENJOY. It's so relieving to go HIT after a bad day to kick, punch, and sweat your frustrations away, and leave feeling refreshed and revived. Every workout is different - Stacey and the rest of the Hit team always have a new way to challenge you (sometimes torture! in a good way ) so you never get bored and discover you can be pushed to new limits. One of the best things about 30 Minute Hit is that inspiration is all around you. I swear Stacey reads my mind somedays and knows that I'm wavering on working out that day, and will post something on Facebook that convinces me to come in, like this beauty: Do you feel like working out? Yes? Go workout. No? You should. Go workout. When you work out, you are surrounded by women of all shapes, ages, sizes and fitness levels, and their hard work pushes you to work as hard as them! I remember seeing my Mom beat the hell out of Bob one day and I was simultaneously terrified and inspired - and immediately started hitting my station harder!

it's what I mutter under my breath everytime I hit the bags...
In January of 2010 I made my way to 30 MINUTE HIT for my free trail. After finishing the circuit I was ready to throw-up but was very much addicted! I realized I needed a place like this to help me to be healthier and push me past my comfort zone. Topping out at 187 pounds I was done being "pleasantly plump." I decided to quit smoking and attend 30 MINUTE HIT at least 3 times a week, and in May 2010 I began my journey. Each day I was greeted with a smile, encouraged throughout every station to push myself further, be stronger. No need for a personal trainer, the open and intimate setting of the gym allowed them to be available to help whenever needed. Not only have I lost a total of 28 pounds but I have gained confidence, strength, stamina and support from my good friends at 30 MINUTE HIT! I also found solice in attending the gym, using it as a stress relieving getaway from my kids and life in general, lol. If I had to say one thing about 30 MINUTE HIT it's what I mutter under my breath everytime I hit the bags... IN THIS HELL, I AM TRULY IN HEAVEN!

After a stressful day this is the place you want to come and work off some of that aggression.
For a big part of my life I have worked out the way most people have by running on the treadmill and resistance weights, among other activities. I never knew what a real workout was until I came to Chilliwack Hit. 2 minutes may not sound like a long time but you would never realize it until you're doing 2 minutes on the heavy bag or kicking. This is definitely one of the toughest and the best work outs I have ever done in my life. I'm already seeing the results and am on my way to being in the best shape of my life. It's only 30 minutes of your time and the hours are so flexible and convenient. Eron Jaskow gives amazing instruction and makes Chilliwack Hit a place you want to come to. After a stressful day this is the place you want to come and work off some of that aggression. I've recently become a member but I know I will be a member for life. Thank you to Eron who has been so motivational and supportive and truly one of the reasons I keep going back. Everybody needs to experience 30 Minute Hit!

I didn't think I could ever hold a plank, but now its one of my favourite thinks to do! I love the extras... butt blasters (working on jumping lunges still..) ab melt and ab ladder!
I started to seriously work on my fitness in March 2011. I was doing good, I lost 15lbs then 20 then came to a hault! Until I joined 30 Minute Hit in May 2011. Inches started going, scale started to go down again. My body has changed so much since the before Picture (which was taken in November 2008). I still want to lose more inches... it's not about weight! (Ikeep telling myslef this.) I love coming to the Hit because its never boring, you can change up a station, and the trainers always make you push yourself... I love when Brett or Stacey tells me "your body will do what you want it to do." I didn't think I could ever hold a plank, but now its one of my favourite thinks to do! I love the extras... butt blasters (working on jumping lunges still..) ab melt and ab ladder! My goal now is to fit into a pair of pants I bought that are a few sizes smaller, but were on sale and I knew they'd make a great motivator! I'm excited for the upcoming bootcamps, and pushing my body to new limits! I want to have my after picture be a before one in the next few months.

I am so happy with myself, with the results that I have accomplished so far which just makes me go further and further.
A place called “The Hit” I have no words to describe how happy I am to have joined The Hit. Well….I guess I will give the picture before so you all will understand. I came to Canada in March of 2006. Before I came I had finished my University 7 months and I was working as Cost Estimator for visual communication company. After I was done with my degree I finally start to have time to take care of my body so I joined a regular gym. Gym in Brasil is something else. It is not only a place to get your body in shape and healthy, but also a place to socialize. I loved it! Made lots of friends while I was doing exercise, that makes the gym less boring. In addition, the gyms in Brasil always have a trainer. It is not a personal trainer but work almost like one. The only difference he/she is there for everybody who is working out. They will give you the basic program, they will watch if you are doing the exercises correctly and also push you a little bit and motivate you to go further. You never pay extra for that, it comes with your membership which is really reasonable. Within 3 or 4 months I started to see results and I was really happy. After I arrived in Canada, I was decided not to get lazy again. It didn’t last long. It was very overwhelming in the beginning to learn another language in another country. Living with a family with a different culture it can be very challenging. The food is different, everything was different. I was adapting to the Canadian culture. It took me a while and during that period of the first 2 months here I probably gained 5 kilos. I was not too concerned about it because my plan was to stay here for 4 months so I decided that I would take care of this when I would get back to Brasil. In the beginning of the 4th month I was still not satisfied with my English skills so I managed to stay here for 8 more months. I was not at the school anymore. Instead a got a job in retail which was the best thing I ever did to improve my English. However, exercises were still out of context. Making long story short. After a year in Canada I met my husband. After one year together I decided to stay in Canada for good. After 3 years struggling with English, then job, then immigration process then back to career I thought it was time to look after my body because I was not happy with it. I was actually really upset the way it transformed. I was so out of shape, confidence was so low. It is incredible how I wanted to hide from everyone, especially in the summer; I would never be on my bikinis in front of my friends. I finally became a member of a regular gym but guess what happened? Nothing! I find the gyms here sooooooooo boring! First was the music. The gym is too quiet. The volume is so low because everybody has their own MP3 player and people get so into it that you are there on your own world so nobody talks among themselves then no socialization. Trainer only if you pay a personal trainer which is quite expensive. The result was that after 3 years with the same gym, I probably went only 10 times. One day, I was walking down the street, really close to my place and I see this place called “The Hit”. I got curious and I decided to go inside to find out more information. A nice and beautiful lady helped and explained how the The Hit works. She booked me for free trial and on the following week there I was. First I thought it was really hard but decided to give it a try. The week after the free trial I had my trip to Brazil for the whole month of April. So I told Stacey to call me in May if I hadn’t showed up to start for good. So she did. She called me in May and I was so glad she did because I was still debating whether or not join The Hit then I finally did. I am really happy to have found a gym that first, is really close from my house. Second that has a loud music and trainers and third it’s not boring at all. I started to go at least three times a week and in the first month I was feeling that I had more energy to go through the day and my friends started noticing that I was getting slimmer. The more results I see the more I want to continue and go further. I think what works at The Hit is the entire package. Personalized customer service; the trainers know everyone’s name. The work out itself is great, you really feel that you are burning and working your muscles. It is unbelievable how you feel after 30 minutes. Never felt like that running for 60 minutes! Trainers again, they are really good at pushing you. Not too much, just enough to make you go further and never quit. The atmosphere, members and staff are really friendly, I always feel really welcome to The Hit and most important of all, it is a fun place! The results of that package I can clearly see. After 6 months at The Hit, I probably lost 4 inches where you guys call the top muffin which has always been my biggest problem. My whole body looks in shape, I have receiving compliments from friends, my husband (of course) and even from people that see me very occasionally. Everybody is really impressed. Mostly important though it’s how I feel now. I am so happy with myself, with the results that I have accomplished so far which just makes me go further and further. I feel healthier; I eat better and simply feel stronger externally and internally. I really have to thank to The Hit, for the first time I found a gym, that I can get results!

I have tried many different types of gyms and classes before, but nothing works the whole body in this short amount of time as 30 Minut Hit.
Hi- My name is Alison and I have been a member of 30 Minute Hit Squamish for almost 4 months now. In this short time I have already begun to see a big difference. I feel stronger, my body is tighter and I feel way healthier than I did before. I have tried many different types of gyms and classes before, but nothing works the whole body in this short amount of time as 30 Minut Hit. This fun, fast past circuit is exactly what I have been looking for and Danielle always has great suggestions on how to modify the routine. The friendly environment is a pleasure to work out in and there is always a huge amount of motivation. Danielle has been amazing at finding new and exciting ways to get people more involved and motivated to keep hitting- Looking forward to the 30 Day Challenge as well as January's Boot Camp! :)

In exchange for half an hour of our undivided attention three times a week, we have received strength, increased aerobic capacity and most important to us... confidence in our bodies again.
What brought us to 30 Minute Hit???? We have been friends for 30 years and we both turned 58 this year and are gaining on 60 at an alarming rate!! For most of our adult lives we could not/would not believe that we had great figures and so, spent that time moaning about it. It's only now that we look back at pictures of us then that we think...WTF??? W\'d kill for that body now!! We decided that we were Not Going Down Without A Fight!!!! After trying an outdoor bootcamp that included a few sessions of boxing we were hooked and wanted to do it more so we found 30 Minute Hit. In exchange for half an hour of our undivided attention three times a week, we have received strength, increased aerobic capacity and most important to us... confidence in our bodies again." Our goal is to be 'hot' one more time before we hit our 60th year. With our own determination and circuit boxing... we are well on our way.
