When I joined 30 Minute Hit just over 2 years ago I had no Idea that I would actually gain confidence as well as shed 30 pounds. My weight gain made it difficult for me to feel comfortable working out at any gym. Then I met Laura and her amazing staff. They continually encourage me to do my best and to push me to my limit every time I come in. I have seen results and feel amazing! I love that the staff is always there to answer questions and to help keep me motivated. I really look forward to my workouts and can honestly say this is a gym I can really feel a part of.

"I am so honoured to be asked to reflect on why I go to 30 Minute Hit in Richmond and what it has done for me. I started out attending 30 Minute to get a change in my workout routine and try to lose a stubborn 20 pounds. I did not know if I would enjoy having male trainers, or having a workout that is so intense. To my great pleasure, I have thrived with Mikey and Tak as my trainers; they motivate me and push me to levels I never knew I could even attain. The workout is as intense as I want it to be; any day that I am on my own I can push myself as hard as I want, and if I am with one of the trainers, he always asks me how hard I want to go. Over my 20 years of exercising I can truly say I have finally found the workout that I love.
"I have been exercising since my early 20's, tried many programs, many diets, didn't exercise for years in between and so on and so on. About a year and a half ago when I was 38 and a half with 40 starring at me I decided I needed a change of lifestyle. I wanted to be a healthy fit 40 year old hottie. I started with my diet slowly cutting out white things, red meat and food from a box, working out at home with the Biggest Loser DVD's. Then last year in May I discovered 30 Minutes Hit, I went for my free session and when it was over, I said give me a pen where do I sign. Since that day I haven't looked back, the thought of getting on a treadmill or elliptical machine makes me want to cry with boredom. Over my 20 years of exercising I can truly say I have finally found the workout that I love. This workout is so much fun, it's empowering and challenging. Mike and Tak are the best trainers, ever, they are there for you with encouraging words & to push you a little harder. I can see my body changing, my core is stronger and I feel FANTASTIC!! I workout out in the morning and it's never a challenge to get up and come to the Hit, I look forward to my workouts!! The most important and hardest fight is always the mental one against myself.
I’m not sure that I deserve honourable mention. But, I do appreciate 30Minute Hit. You tolerate me well. Somehow, some way, I’ve become better than myself. Thanks to Mikey, Shannah and Tak and the rest of the ladies here. Since January, I’ve been coming to Richmond location, I’ve actually grown a muscle, and learned some proper punching and kicking techniques. That’s why I started. That’s why I come back. I’m not an easy student to teach. I really don’t like being told what to do, or how to do it. Mikey, Shannah, and Tak find a way to reach me. I do listen. Even if my anarchist body won’t comply with the instructions. I hear what they say. They have started to crack the brick wall of my fundamental ‘fick ytou’ principle. M y hands, legs, shoulders, and hips are not often in the right place at the right time together. However, we are slowly winning the battle to get my body to do what it is supposed to do. The most important and hardest fight is always the mental one against myself. Each of the trainers offer me different insights. This helps me incorporate their teaching and develop my own style . As I mentioned earlier, I can’t/won’t do everything that they want me to do. My natural state is to do the opposite of what others want from me. But, they accept this, or at least understand this and work with me anyhow. And, for this I am truly grateful. I AM punching better. I AM kicking better. I’ve become better than myself. But I know there is lots of room for improvement. 30 Minute Hit is more than just a training place to me. Ive also met some pretty fantastic women. We have so much fun. So, I alos come to enjoy Theresa, Reese, Miriam, V and Raman. Many others should also be included here because there is always a welcoming smile in the crowd. I’m just not great with remembering names. You guys give the best gift. I get a positive experience of myself every time I go.

I am so thankful to have found 30 min hit. I love how it works your entire body in a short 30 min workout. The trainers are all very friendly, and encourage you to push yourself to your limit. I have been a member since Sept. 2009, and I can honestly say that I am never bored of the circuit, as the trainers always find new ways to challenge you at each station. "Great trainers have the power to inspire, to motivate, and get results! This is exactly what I found after joining the 30-Minute Hit, Richmond location. It is a perfect combination of effective circuit workout and knowledgeable and experienced Trainers. Recovering from surgery, I wanted to change my work out regime and decided to join. After my 1st workout with Master Tak, I was hooked (no pun intended)! My 1st sessions with Mighty Mikey and Saucy Shannah were as equally intense. I love the energy and enthusiasm these trainers bring to the floor, and they bring it consistently every time! They make me want to work harder, and make me believe that I can do more. Even when I think and feel I have nothing left, they find ways to squeeze more out of me. A lot of places offer good workout routines, classes, etc. What makes Richmond Hit so special and different? For me, it’s the trainers and its’ members. The trainers keep me engaged at all times. They offer their expertise to improve form, stamina and offer variety, which keep me interested and coming back for more. Furthermore, it is enjoyable to see members who come in regularly. I LOVE my morning girls posse. There is a sense of commitment and obligation to show up because I feel accountable to them – they’re not shy to ask where I’ve been if I don’t show up some mornings. These gals help me to stay focused, keep me motivated, and give me encouragement on days I have no energy. There is a sense of camaraderie: we cheer each other on and celebrate each others’ successes.

I was never one for working out because I found myself bored with just the thought of counting reps, calories burned, etc. Boring! One 30 minute free trial changed all that. I was as challenged on my first day as I am now, a year and a half later. That's the genius of this non-competitive workout -- you push yourself to exhaustion, every time. Your strength, endurance, and technique improve rapidly, but you're always challenged and therefore never bored. The trainers at the South Surrey location are top-notch, and the women, who vary in age, size, and fitness level, are always warm and friendly...unlike any other gym I've tried. 30 Minute Hit goes beyond physical training; it's a whole mind-body experience. Your stress levels decrease right along with your waistline, and who doesn't want that?!

I've never felt in better shape than I do now.
I began my fitness journey in January at home with a diet plan and using exercise DVD's. I found it so difficult to be motivated enough to stick to my "program". I've never been really great with getting to the gym and sticking with it. Then my best friend discovered this gem called 30 Min Hit. I went in, met Teri and went through the hardest workout i've ever done! It was awesome and I was hooked! As a mom of 2, I love the fact that it's only 30 minutes but you're getting the best workout....EVER! Teri is a motivating, inspiring woman, always giving you the little extra push to do your best and giving you new challenges. Thank you Teri! That's exactly what i needed. The gym environment is full of positive energy as all us ladies kick and punch our way into a more fit version of ourselves. Since the start, I've gone from a size 12 to a 6/7 and I've lost 181/2 inches!!! "I've never felt in better shape than I do now. I've gained confidence and a more toned and lean body". It was 11 months ago that I finally took the plunge and entered the doors of 30-minute hit, the gym I’d passed by hundreds of times and wondered what it would be like. I was met by Yossi who very patiently taught me the fighting stance and how the circuit works. The rest is history… 11 months later and I am addicted. You’ll start with skipping, then arms, legs, abs, arms, legs, abs, etc… it’s awesome! I started at the hit after losing 20 lbs. but wanting to still lose 10 more and tone up. It didn’t take long to see results. For the first time EVER, and hovering around my goal weight, I have definition in my tummy and my arms don’t jiggle like jello or sway like a flag! This is also the first summer that I haven’t had to store paper towel in my car to wipe the sweat between my love handles and I’m totally okay admitting it because the hard work has paid off. It’s not about the number anymore; it’s about how I feel!
